Is Your Spouse Cheating?

You have a sinking feeling in the pit of your stomach, something is not right but you can’t quite figure out what that feeling is about. Your spouse has become distant, he/she is working late on a regular basis or, maybe your spouse has moved out of the house with no explanation. You suspect there may be some else.

A spouse involved in an affair will normally start keeping secrets, secrets that he/she once shared with you. They will need more privacy than they normally have in the past.

Emotional affairs occur primarily via the Internet and phone, especially cell phones. If you find your spouse hanging up suddenly when you enter the room or erasing the history on the cell phone and becoming defensive when asked about it, then you might want to add this behavior to your list of suspicions.

Some use the computer excessively when having a physical affair. If your spouse is spending excessive amounts of time on the computer they could be engaged in an online affair or they are using the computer to stay in contact with their physical affair partner.

If your spouse suddenly has to work late after years of coming home at a certain time then I would say it is safe to be suspicious that something other than work is going on.

We are "just friends,"is very predictable statement that will come from a cheating spouse. Sometimes friends are more than "just friends" though.

When a man or woman is involved with someone other than their spouse they need space and time away from the spouse to carry on the affair. One of the most blaring signs of a cheating spouse is one who needs his/her “space.”

Never has it been so easy to track the communication between a spouse and the other man/other woman. If you suspect your spouse of having an affair your fist step should be to communicate your suspicions. If after discussing your fears with your spouse and you feel he/she has not be truthful check their cell phone.

If your spouse is having an affair, his/her behaviors will change. What was once normal behavior will be replaced by behaviors in your spouse that you are not used to seeing.
