Garnishmet of Wages Defined

Definition:

A court order to a third party, usually an employer, requiring the employee’s wages to be automatically deducted from a paycheck and paid to another party, usually the ex wife or husband.

Most states favor attachment for child support payments. It avoids late or missed payments and saves court time. Fewer contempt of court actions are filed. This is a strong inducement for your spouse to stay current on his payments.
