How many years were you married?
We were married for 29 years. I thought we had almost a perfect marriage. He was "almost" the perfect guy. I never knew him!!
Did you want a divorce?
NO!!! I was spending time in my country. He called to tell me how happy he was to be married to such of a wonderful mother and wife, and will celebrate our 29 anniversary, I received two wonderful cards, full of "love" Now I know they were full of lies.
Ten days later, he asked for divorce.
Describe the break-up of your marriage.
My husband asked for divorce by Email, I never ever saw his face since he took me to the airport, for my flight to Nicaragua.
Was ten days later, after he called to wish a happy anniversary!
We never talk again. He never answer my calls. Changed his number
Changed the lock of the Condo. I find out later that he never put my name in the Dee. He bough it 2 years ago. Left his job of 14 years, and moved to California from NYC, sent my clothes to my son's house.
I do not have any idea of his present life, what he does.
What helped you cope with your divorce?
Yoga, meditation, working up. Now I live in Nicaragua, and I feel that my heart is so broken, that I will never, ever get over.
My break up came as the biggest surprise of my life. Is like he changed over night, and wake up hating me.
Lessons Learned
- Never take anything for granted. Be prepare for all the curves and hit that life gives. "Love" is so fragile, and inpredictive.
- Love is just something that can hurt you so bad, and even can destroy you.
- I do not believe in the love that a man and woman swear to have for each other. Is never going to be forever, it will end, soon or later. IS PART OF LIFE OR LIVING
