Did your attorney make mistakes during your divorce?
My children and I have been held hostage in San Diego Family Law Court for 16 years without any issues being resolved. It is a "high conflict" case which means the attorneys deliberately churned the case for high fees using the children as a source of revenue. We are not the only ones.
Were you the victim of an unethical judge?
I have had several unethical judges and numerous commissioners. I have met with at least 50 other litigants who are currently suffering the same form of racketeering.
What needs to change in the Family Court System?
We have several civil suits currently in San Diego addressing the corruption and waste. Channel 10 news did an investigative series and the Supervising Judge admitted San Diego has not been in compliance with the California Rules of the Court for 9 years. Our group of litigants is actively requesting assistance from the US Attorney as well as the FBI. So far no appropriate assistance has been provided. Women are losing their homes at an alarming rate to their own attorneys.
Lessons Learned
- I am currently being trained in compliance in the financial industry and have discovered that San Diego Family Law Court should not even be in business as there is no information to conduct an audit. Kathleen Russell of the Center for Judicial Excellence worked with the California legislature in getting an audit for 7 Counties in California. San Diego was initially on the list but now only 2 counties are being audited and those counties are destroying their records.
- Litigants should be told up front that the whole process is illegal without any protection or compliance. Essentially the attorneys are stealing.
