If you want to divorce but don't want to go to divorce court there are options available to you. It is possible to get divorced without ever seeing the inside of a courtroom.

Collaborative Divorce: In a collaborative divorce you and your spouse each hire an attorney who specializes in an alternative way of negotiating disputes between divorcing clients. The collaborative attorneys work together, taking into consideration the best interest of both spouses when helping negotiate a divorce settlement.

If there is a need a collaborative divorce may also include a financial analyst, coach or therapist. All who work together as a team to help the couple, not only save money but the emotional upheaval of a high conflict divorce.

Mediation: During mediation you and your spouse will use a trained professional, either an attorney or someone who specializes in dispute resolution to come to a final divorce settlement agreement. Using mediation can save money, time and most importantly the heartache often associated with a protracted legal battle.
